Since 2014, Emmi has made a clear distinction in its organisation between Group and country responsibilities. Accordingly, the Swiss business – which long represented the centre of the company’s organisation – was separated from the parent company. The three regions Switzerland, Europe and Americas were created.
The Group is responsible for assuming its strategic leadership role in a targeted and consistent manner, for managing the subsidiaries from a financial standpoint and for exerting a strong influence on the strategic orientation of the Group. Areas with interregional and cross-divisional responsibilities were created for this purpose, including Human Resources, Finance & Controlling, Logistics and Corporate Development.
The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall management and the monitoring of the group. The group management is in charge of the operational management of Emmi. The members of both bodies are introduced in this section.
Fritz Wyss (b. 1944), a Swiss citizen, has been Honorary President of the Emmi Board of Directors since 2010. Fritz Wyss was a member of the Board of Directors from 1993 to 2009, including a period as its Delegate from 1993 to 2003 and its Chairman from 2003 to 2009.
